AboutThe Role
Accord Worldwide is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our project (a potential one not yet awarded). The Project Manager will oversee the project’s execution from inception to completion, ensuring objectives are met within defined timelines and budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in humanitarian operations and a focus on promoting women in leadership within this context.
The PM will manage day-to-day contract activities and serve as the primary point of contact for the client, stakeholders, and project team. The PM is the lead on the ground for this project and will guide the team, resolve issues, and ensure project goals are fulfilled on time with approved resources and acceptable quality. Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the Women Leadership Program, aligned with Accord Worldwide’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement innovative learning courses and materials to enhance women’s leadership in humanitarian and development settings.
- Engage and negotiate with stakeholders, including government officials, local authorities, donors, and partners, to foster collaboration and support for the program.
- Monitor and evaluate the program’s impact and adjust strategies to maximize effectiveness.
- Manage a diverse team and foster an inclusive, growth-oriented environment.
- Master’s Degree in Social Science Studies or equivalent field.
- Minimum of five years of substantial professional experience in humanitarian operations and learning course development.
- At least five years of experience in humanitarian leadership practices, ideally with Humanitarian Country Teams or familiarity with leadership structures in field operations.
- Knowledge of a broad range of humanitarian and development issues, with exposure to operations and learning contexts.
- Specific expertise in advancing women in leadership within humanitarian and development sectors, including strategies to strengthen operations and support human rights agendas.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Innovative thinking with strategic and analytical problem-solving.
