Salary Range: $147,500 – $160,500

Position OverviewThe Construction Manager is responsible for leading and executing industrial boiler and power generation construction projects across a multi-state region. This role oversees all phases of project delivery—from initial bid and planning through execution and closeout—ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
This position requires a hands‑on leader with deep technical expertise in industrial boiler construction, strong financial acumen, and the ability to manage complex, high-risk field operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead full lifecycle project execution, including RFQ support, planning, construction, and closeout
- Manage project financials, including budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and profitability (P&L)
- Oversee construction activities across multiple projects and geographic locations
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, field teams, and clients to ensure seamless execution
- Monitor and manage project scope, schedule, and change control processes
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities within the assigned region
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, safety standards, and company policies
- Provide leadership and direction to superintendents, field engineers, subcontractors, and craft labor
- Address and resolve critical project issues and escalate as needed
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and labor organizations
- Support staffing and resource allocation for project sites
- 10–20+ years of construction experience
- 5+ years in a Construction Manager, Superintendent, or equivalent field leadership role
- Direct experience in industrial boiler or power generation construction (required)
- Experience managing large-scale projects ranging from $10M to $100M+
- Background in brownfield or operating plant environments
- Proven success managing outages with compressed schedules and multiple contractors
Note:
Candidates with only commercial or residential construction experience will not be considered.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Pressure part installation and welding
- Structural steel systems and support infrastructure
- Heavy rigging and crane operations
- Familiarity with:
- Weld quality and inspection processes
- Temporary construction systems (scaffolding, access, supports)
- High‑elevation and tight‑clearance work environments
- Proven ability to:
- Develop and execute detailed construction work plans
- Manage labor productivity and workforce planning
- Track project costs, forecast trends, and mitigate overruns
- Develop and manage schedules, including recovery planning
- Demonstrated commitment to safety as a core component of execution
- Experience managing high-risk activities, including:
- Work at height
- Confined space entry
- Hot work in industrial environments
- Heavy lifts and rigging operations
- Energy isolation / lockout‑tagout (LOTO)
- Leads by example through:
- Pre-task planning and risk mitigation
- Field presence and active supervision
- Accountability across all levels of the project team
- Hands‑on, field‑focused leadership style
- Experience managing union and/or non-union labor environments
- Ability to lead and develop:
- Project teams
- Ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining strong working relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively interface with:
- Clients and owner representatives
- Engineering and QA/QC teams
- Safety and project controls

- Based in Spring, TX with 100% in-office presence when not traveling
- Travel up to 50%, depending on project demands
- Mix of local site visits and interstate travel
- Some weeks may require extensive travel, others primarily office-based
