Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Job OverviewResponsible for developing a confidential project schedule, integrating multiple internal and external deliverables / plans and maintain a schedule (level 1 –
3) across a program of work comprised of multiple interdependent projects.
The role ensures alignment between scope, schedule, anticipated/projected/delivered value, enabling informed decision-making and proactive management and governance of the program’s performance.
Responsibilities- Develop a detailed project schedule.
- Rolls up detailed schedule to level 1 schedule, presenting critical path and key schedule opportunities / challenges to senior management.
- Manages and reports on project milestones and stewards individual project managers’ performance on schedule adherence and value capture.
- Oversees project governance activities, including stakeholder meetings, gating processes, communication efforts; liaises with overall project and program managers on Program activities.
- Establishes and stewards traditional schedule processes (Management of Change, monthly planning report preparation, etc.).
- Engages with project management tools (Primavera, Smart Sheet, excel) to build visualizations to support project stewardship.
- Serves as a champion for improving project velocity and value delivery.
- Uses critical thinking to influence schedule and value delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management.
- 5+ years of previous experience in closely related positions (Project Planning and Scheduling.).
- Fluent in project management software with proven ability to quickly come up to speed on Smart Sheet (our chosen tool).
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Able to identify schedule opportunities and vulnerabilities and make recommendations to Project Management.
- Deep planning/scheduling expertise.
- Able to take a detailed schedule and present clear recommendations to senior management.
