Position: Land Advisor / Representative III

Job Title Land Advisor / Representative III

Compensation $70.88/hr

Location Spring, TX

Schedule Monday-Friday | 40 hours per week

Target Start Date ASAP

Scope The Land Advisor / Representative III will support a project focused on verifying and managing company-owned mineral, royalty, and overriding royalty interests. The position requires extensive land, title, ownership, production, and contract research experience, with particular emphasis on Permian Basin assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review internal company records and online courthouse documents to confirm the ownership and status of company-owned interests by depth, including:
    • Mineral interests
    • Royalty interests
    • Overriding royalty interests
  • Review all wells producing from the applicable interests.
  • Research production histories and producing depths and formations.
  • Evaluate the "held-by" status of company-granted agreements, including:
    • Leases
    • Farmouts
    • Overriding royalty reservations
  • Confirm net revenue interest calculations.
  • Coordinate and determine land ownership, assess risks, and cure title defects.
  • Acquire and obtain leases, access rights, easements, and rights-of-way.
  • Develop, negotiate, and execute commercial agreements while obtaining required internal alignment.
  • Analyze and steward contracts for acreage management, risk management, and compliance.
  • Develop and recommend commercial structures for acquiring or monetizing business opportunities.
  • Acquire, trade, monetize, or divest asset rights to deliver and protect value.
  • Manage relationships with landowners, government officials, service providers, and business partners.
  • Negotiate and manage claim and dispute mitigation and resolution.
  • Coordinate and manage field and in-house contract personnel.
  • Provide litigation support when required.
  • Advise cross-functional teams on land-related strategies, risks, and commercial opportunities.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with mineral, royalty, and overriding royalty ownership research.
  • Strong title and courthouse research experience.
  • Experience reviewing production history, producing formations, leases, farmouts, and royalty reservations.
  • Ability to calculate and confirm net revenue interests.
  • Knowledge of alignment sheets, easements, acquisition documents, and title-curative processes.
  • Proficiency in commercial negotiations and contract management.
  • Strong influencing and internal and external relationship-management skills.

    • Enverus Courthouse
    • Energy Link
Preferred Experience
  • Permian Basin land and title experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing company-owned minerals, royalties, and overriding royalty interests.
  • Experience evaluating agreements by depth and determining held-by-production or other held-by status.
