We are seeking a proven, action-oriented individual to join our Executive Communications team that supports the HPE Hybrid Cloud business group and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This is an exciting opportunity to join HPE’s world-class Global Communications team. With more than 100 communicators across the globe, we advocate for HPE’s corporate strategy, business innovation, and thought leadership.

As an Executive Communications Specialist for Hybrid Cloud & CTO
, you will partner with the team to help drive the company’s cloud and technology narratives internally and externally. This is an important role at a key moment in the company’s transformation and requires a collaborative professional with executive presence to assist with implementing and measuring sustained 360-degree communications programs for the Hybrid Cloud business group and the Office of the CTO, led by Fidelma Russo.
This is a hybrid role to be based in our Houston, TX or San Jose, CA office, two days per week.
Responsibilities- Help develop, implement, and evaluate team member communications strategies and programs to drive desired behavior.
- Understand the communications needs of various internal and external audiences and collaborate with team members on crafting messages that are impactful and lead to desired outcomes.
- Assist with the content development process for executive speeches, videos, podcasts, blogs, social media, etc.
- Support cross team efforts like communications measurement and benchmarking.
- Assist with coordination and logistics of internal events such as all team meetings and ask me anything sessions, including scheduling, planning, executing, creative, presentations (slide creation), invitations, guest speaker coordination, and post-event reporting.
- Solid writing, presentation, and editing skills, with some peer or manager edits expected.
- Comfortable receiving feedback and edits on written communications and presentation drafts from one or more members of a 360-degree communications team.
- Ability to incorporate feedback in a timely manner to stay on schedule.
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn.
- Organization and program management skills.
- Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results. Analyze metrics and data and turn into insightful presentations, reports, or summaries for senior executives and communications professionals.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of communications methodologies, including following brand standards and leveraging our writing style guide and tools.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, especially Linked In, and comfortable monitoring social trends, hot topics, buzz-worthy posts and personalities.
- Ability to multi-task, managing and prioritizing a variety of projects with tight deadlines, while remaining calm under pressure.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the company, including senior executives.
- Some prior knowledge and experience in enterprise technology preferred.
