Texas Oncology is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Houston Regional Float Pool Team. In this role, you'll provide essential cross‑coverage support in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Infusion nursing units, rotating through select clinics throughout the Houston Southeast Region.
ScheduleFull‑time, Monday–Friday, daytime hours.

What is the Long‑Term Incentive Plan (LTIP)?The LTIP typically vests over a three‑year period and is tied to both individual performance and the operational success of Texas Oncology. Awards are discretionary and based on position, performance, and potential for future career growth. Awards are reviewed and approved during the annual compensation review and are subject to continued employment through the award payment date.
What Does the Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) Do?The Float Pool RN provides professional nursing care in alignment with national standards, company guidelines, and the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. You’ll serve as a clinical resource and liaison while adapting quickly to diverse assignments.
Responsibilities- Assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating patient care.
- Conducting health assessments, obtaining patient histories, and providing education.
- Offering psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Safely preparing and administering therapies (medications, blood products) in accordance with governing standards.
- Performing venipuncture, accessing ports, and maintaining central lines.
- Monitoring labs, facilitating dose modifications per protocol, and consulting with providers for orders.
- Managing triage calls, symptom management, and medication management with accurate documentation.
- Assisting patients in accessing community resources.
- Opportunity to cross‑train and expand into subspecialty areas (Gyn Onc, BMT, Pediatrics) as the Float Pool role evolves.

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:
Education/Training Level I- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
