Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center is located in the heart of a rapidly growing master‑planned community with award‑winning schools and all amenity close mattress provides a 447‑bed facility. This Trauma Med/Surg unit has 36 beds, all specialty in trauma, with a patient‑to‑nurse ratio of 1:4–5. The unit can also accommodate regular Med/Surg patients.

FT shift, nights; every other weekend required.
Trauma patient types will include: falls, MVA, gunshot wounds, auto vs. pedestrian, attempted suicides, and blunt trauma.
BSN required because of Magnet status.
At least 1 year of acute‑care hospital nursing experience.
Minimum Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing;
Bachelors of Nursing preferred. - Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
- Certified in Basic Life Support.
- Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.
- Experience levels: RN I (< 1 year), RN II (1–3 years), RN III (3–10 years), RN IV (10+ years).
- Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients, according to nursing skills inventory and patient needs.
- Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and administers appropriate clinical decisions.
- Collaborates with, directs, and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data, research, evidence, and professional standards.
- Coordinates treatment plans and develops/implements discharge and/or transfer plans.
- Participates in a systemic, interdisciplinary evaluation of programs, process improvement, and desired client‑centered outcomes.
- Considers diverse patient needs throughout the continuum of care, providing highest level of service aligned with service standards.
- Adheres to all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.
- Ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service.
- Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skill competency; supports department‑based goals, may serve as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
