Plasma Center Nurse - RN

You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.

• Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
• Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions that occur at the facility, following SOPs for medical emergencies, developing Center Physician standing orders, and arranging donor transport to emergency care facilities.
• Review laboratory test results, notify donors of unsuitable test results, and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
• Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees, manage employee incidents, and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health or ER.
• Follow Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) guidance regarding employee incidents, and act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations associated with pandemic threats in the local community.
• Assist with adherence to regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment, and provide center‑level support of EHS as directed by Bio Life Medical Affairs.

• High school diploma or equivalent; or graduate‑equivalent recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state of responsibility:
  Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
• Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Successful completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Location:

USA – TX – Spring.

Hourly wage range: $22.80 – $31.35 per hour (actual offer may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications and location).
