Role Overview
The Wound Care Registered Nurse is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency call lights inside our skilled nursing center.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medication and treatments to residents of our healthcare center.
- Assist with admission and discharge process.
- Keep physician and family aware of changes in resident condition.
- Make rounds with physicians and transcribe orders.
- Assure continuity of services and care.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Registered nurse with a current license in Texas.
- 6 months experience in geriatric nursing and/or B.S. Degree in nursing preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
- Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
- Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
