About the Clinic
At Rayford Animal Wellness Clinic (RAWC), we’re searching for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our family of RAWCstars.
We’re a busy 3–4 doctor full‑service veterinary hospital in Spring, Texas that believes exceptional medicine and exceptional culture can exist together. We work hard, laugh a lot, celebrate our team, and genuinely enjoy coming to work every day.
ResponsibilitiesOur technicians are true technicians—not just assistants. You’ll be expected to confidently perform and assist with:
- Patient history and physical assessments
- Venipuncture (jugular, cephalic, lateral & medial saphenous)
- IV catheter placement
- Cystocentesis
- Digital radiology
- Surgical assistance and anesthesia monitoring
- Laboratory diagnostics (CBC/Chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, etc.)
- Medication administration
- Vaccine knowledge
- Drug calculations
- Emergency triage and patient care
- Client communication and education
- Medical record documentation (SOAP notes)
- General nursing care
- Team support including stocking, cleaning, and maintaining a smooth workflow
- Has previous veterinary technician experience (required)
- Can remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Is compassionate with both clients and patients
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Takes initiative and solves problems without waiting to be asked
- Communicates professionally in person, over the phone, by text, and by email
- Loves learning and wants to continue growing their skills
- Can safely lift up to 50 pounds and appropriately restrain patients
- Has solid computer and basic math skills
Full‑Time (40 hours/week)
- Four 10‑hour shifts
- Typically 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (with some flexibility depending on the needs of the hospital)
Pay $20+/hour depending on experience, technical skills, and credentials.
