Are you looking to join a team of dedicated animal lovers at a top-notch veterinary clinic? True Animal Vet is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate veterinary technician to join our team.

As a veterinary technician at True Animal Vet, you will be responsible for providing top-quality care to our four-legged patients. This will include tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, performing lab work, and assisting with surgeries and other medical procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary technology and a deep passion for animals. A degree or certification in veterinary technology is not required. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidate skills:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience, ideally in primary or urgent/emergency care
  • General knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology
  • Ability to take and record vital signs
  • Experience administering medications and injections
  • Proficiency in performing laboratory procedures
  • Familiarity with medical equipment and instruments
  • Ability to monitor anesthesia and assist in surgeries and medical procedures
  • Strong communication skills to communicate with colleagues and clients
  • Good bedside manner and compassion for animals
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of basic animal care and husbandry
  • Experience with electronic medical records and office software
  • Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and humanely
  • Knowledge of common animal diseases and treatments
  • Ability to recognize and respond to emergency situations.
