The Bartender role is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by preparing and serving food and beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role ensures compliance with all safety, sanitation, and service regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work area. They play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere by providing friendly, efficient service and supporting team operations.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages to guests according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar assigned, including equipment and glassware.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and comply with all Texas alcohol service laws.
- Monitor guest behavior and consumption to ensure responsible service.
- Restock bar inventory and supplies as needed throughout shifts.
- Handle transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems.
- Provide excellent guest service by engaging with guests and addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Follow safety, sanitation, and company procedures at all times.
- Assist in opening and closing duties, including setup and breakdown of the bar assigned.
- Collaborate with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Guest Service - Strong interpersonal skills to provide a welcoming and positive guest experience.
- Attention to Detail - Ensuring accuracy in food and beverage preparation, POS transactions, and compliance with standards.
- Time Management - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Problem-Solving - Ability to resolve guest concerns and operational issues quickly and professionally.
- Compliance Awareness - Understanding alcohol laws, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Adaptability - Ability to adjust to changing guest needs and operational demands.
- Reliability & Dependability - Consistently punctual, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining standards.
- At least 18 years of age or older.
- Work in varied weather conditions.
- Required to obtain and maintain Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) server/seller certification.
- Must obtain and maintain Serv Safe Food Handlers Certification.
- Must be willing to work on a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Black slip‑resistant shoes required.
