Job Description
The Dog Stop® is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager with retail, management, and customer service experience to help manage a doggie daycare, boarding, grooming, and retail store in Spring, TX. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager/Owner to set the right team culture! This position will be responsible for the entire facility, its staff, and all our human and canine guests!
We are a fast-paced business. The candidate should be prepared to spend the entire shift on his/her feet. Multi-tasking and maintaining organization skills in a busy environment is a requirement.
Knowledge of the dog care industry is a plus, but not required, provided the candidate is capable of quickly learning the ins and outs of our services and is ready for a dynamic team environment. We require a positive attitude, outgoing personality, dedication to providing an exceptional experience for our clientele, and of course, a love of dogs. The excellent care, comfort, safety, and happiness of our canine guests is our highest priority.
Primary functions include:
- Ensuring the safety, care, and comfort of our canine guests
- Setting the example for our company culture, values, and goals
- Ensuring all cleanliness, health, and safety protocols are strictly followed
- Accountability and management of staff, training, and development
- Meeting sales goals
- Providing the highest level of customer service
- Managing customer issues in person, via phone, email, or social media, and through our online customer satisfaction rating system
- Oversight, knowledge, and research of retail products and inventory tracking
- Client tours and developing customer relationships
- Management of client database
- Social media content creation and management
- All employees must adhere to all The Dog Stop Policies and Procedures

Necessary
Qualifications:
- 2 years' experience in retail and customer service
- 3 professional references
- Excellent communication and strong customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends & holidays
Base pay ranges between $16 - $20/hr, depending on experience, with overtime, incentives and career growth possible.
