Responsibilities

SUMMARY of the position:
Responsible for ensuring that department is clean and well stocked and for providing superior customer service

RESPONSIBILITIES of the position:

• Stocks merchandise on displays
• Organizes and maintains back room
• Cleans shelves and keeps sales floor clear of spills and trash
• Builds, stocks, maintains, and takes down store displays as directed
• Ensures price integrity and signs product in department
• Assists in ordering of product
• Ensures that all Federal, State, and Company regulations and standards for product freshness, food safety, and sanitation
• Clean, maintain & Sanitize work area
• Successfully interact and selling to customer
• Ensure culling of product, making sure product is rotated
• Basic knowledge of floral design
• Ensure handling care and inspection of product is complete
• Compare with invoice and what product is received
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Be aware of shrink
• Displays and maintains product
• Maintains quality product by ongoing sanitation of equipment and department
• Handles customers orders and requests and assists them in locating and choosing product
• Receives, checks and prices all incoming products
• Assist physical inventory
• Must have thorough knowledge of product
• Assist in product order

• Eighteen (18) years of age or older
• OJT, department job skills training
• Company Orientation, Basics of safety
• Fast paced and requires detailed work and precision
• Attentive to customer needs throughout department and store
• Maintain composure in high stress situations
• Able to read, write and comprehend instructions

• Lift and carry moderately heavy loads up to 50lbs
• Bend, reach, push, pull, kneel and squat
• Regularly exposed to extreme temperatures and wet and/or humid conditions
• Exposed to hazardous chemicals
