Position Overview

Business Development Representative - Full Time / Exempt

Location:

Houston, TX

Reports To:

Sales VP
Salary grade: DOE

Responsibilities
  • Drive new business growth within an assigned territory; own the full sales lifecycle—from initial outreach through close.
  • Prospect and acquire new accounts through outbound outreach, referrals, and leads.
  • Manage opportunities from initial conversation through close.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and sales forecasts.
  • Partner with internal specialists to assess needs and recommend technology solutions.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships within your territory.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals.
  • Research accounts and industries to identify growth opportunities.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training, and company events.
  • Provide clear, measurable updates to leadership on activity.
  • Support cost-benefit analysis for proposed solutions.
Experience & Required Skills
  • Ability to engage prospects and build professional relationships.
  • Strategic prospecting and consistent execution from prospecting through close.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Product knowledge a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to assess business needs and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Adaptability and consistent execution from prospecting through close.
Education & Certification
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, including as a driver or passenger in an automobile.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 25 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 25 lbs.
  • Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
Special Requirements
  • Must have reliable transportation and a current Driver’s License.
