The Agency Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Spring, TX, focused on building and managing relationships with employers and benefits decision-makers. This role involves identifying prospective clients, conducting needs assessments, and presenting Colonial Life’s workplace benefits solutions in a clear and consultative manner. The Agency Sales Representative will schedule and lead sales meetings, support enrollment activities, and work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth implementation of benefit programs.
Day-to-day tasks include maintaining a sales pipeline, following up on leads, delivering product and benefits education to clients and employees, and meeting defined sales and service targets. The role also includes ongoing market research, participation in local networking events, and adherence to all company and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated sales and business development skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, and closing new business.
- Strong relationship management and customer service abilities, with experience building trust and long-term client partnerships.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain insurance and benefit concepts in a clear, accessible manner.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, including maintaining accurate records, managing a sales pipeline, and meeting deadlines.
- Comfort working with technology, such as CRM systems, enrollment platforms, and standard office software.
- Prior experience in insurance, employee benefits, or financial services is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Spring, TX, travel locally for client meetings, and participate in community or networking events as needed.
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- State insurance license or eligibility to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
