Alternate Contractor Special Security Officer; ACSSO

Alternate Contractor Special Security Officer (ACSSO) – Onsite position primarily at an HPE office.

• Implement and coordinate company guidelines and security practices as outlined in customer and HPE corporate security manuals and classification guides.
• Assist in contract guard force management.
• Collaborate with HPE Government Security staff on personnel security functions.
• Conduct self‑inspections of the facility’s security program and prepare documentation for DSCA inspections.
• Review incoming DD254s to ensure compliance and issue required subcontractor DD254s.
• Navigates SIMS, NISS, DISS, SWFT, NBIS, e‑App and similar U.S. Government systems.
• Communicates with customers to obtain rulings, interpretations and approved deviations, ensuring compliance with all government regulations.
• Provide facility security administration, documentation and accreditation support.
• Manage and maintain UL‑2050‑compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and automated Access Control Systems (ACS).
• Develop, document and present classified security education, awareness and training activities.
• Assist in preparing manuals and establishing procedures for handling, storing and record‑keeping of classified material.
• Process personnel for security clearances/special access and oversee secure area visits and entry control.
• Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventative action to be taken.
• Participate in security and risk assessments and work closely with government security counterparts, program managers and industry partners.
• Complete tasks related to the certification and accreditation of secure areas.
• Execute other duties as assigned to support operations.
• Interface with all levels of management to support the administration of a classified contract in accordance with NISPOM, DD254 and Program Classification Guides.
• Maintain the Security Information Management System (SIMS) database and drive enhancements to industrial security systems such as FSO Dashboards, NISS, DISS/NBIS.
• Provide backup support for personnel security functions, including new employee clearance processing and visit and badge requests.

• Experience as an ACSSO.
• Understanding of Intelligence Community Directives and NISPOM.
• Experience with MPO procurement database, DISS, Scattered Castles or similar databases.
• Experience with Certification and Accreditation of SCIFs and closed areas.
• Excellent problem‑solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Well‑organized, detail‑oriented and able to multi‑task.
• High ethical standards and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph at time of hire.
• Minimum 3years of industrial security or related experience.
