THE ROLE
The Maintenance Technician “B” is in charge of performing tasks to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of all manufacturing and facility assets.
Schedule: Monday – Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Perform a variety of routine maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot and solve mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC issues on various equipment and/or recognize when the issue requires a specialized technician
- Perform Preventive Maintenance tasks to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need to be made
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions
- Reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures, electrical schematics, blueprints, mechanical drawings, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance work
- Assemble and disassemble equipment to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals
- Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts
- Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System to receive work instructions, identify that belong to machines, and fully document work performed
- Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations
- Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes
- Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in an organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably
- Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights and wiring
- Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
- Utilize various testing devices including Digital Multimeters, Ammeters, Voltmeters, Meggers, and Thermal Scanners
- Operate hand and power tools
- Calculate basic mathematical problems
- Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee performing Preventive (planned) and Corrective (unplanned) Maintenance
- Three or more years electrical experience in an industrial environment and working knowledge of electrical theory and associated principles, materials and equipment
- Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas:
- Mechanical
- Lubrication – oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc.
- Hydraulics & Pneumatics – valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping and tubing, gauges, etc.
- Electrical
- AC Circuits (0V to 480V) – motors, drives, transformers, etc. Process Control
