Instrument Fitter - Austin Industrial (Bay City, TX)

• Read and work from related blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Install and/or remove various instrumentation devices, including indicators, recorders, telemetry, controllers, transmitters, transducers, and analyzers used to measure variables such as pressure, flow, and temperature.
• Use a comprehensive knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, and electricity during installation.
• Cut, bend, and install pipe tubing or conduit for the installation of air or process lines for instrument controls using hacksaws and pipe cutters.
• Install instruments, instrument stands, and control wiring to valves, and stroke valves to verify operation.
• Install and calibrate recorders, alarms, switches, and other devices.
• Steam trace lines when necessary.
• Install flanges and orifice plates if required.
• Perform other duties necessary to remove, install or troubleshoot instrumentation devices.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date electrician's license or identification card to meet state regulations.

• 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
• NCCER certification and a valid Driver’s License.
