Position Summary
Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized pharmacy focused on processing and dispensing prescriptions for multiple retail locations. We are hiring Shipping and Receiving associates at our Central Fill Pharmacy in Spring, Texas. Pay is $18.00 per hour.
Shift AvailabilityRotating weekly schedule Monday–Sunday. 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Full‑time, 34 to 40 hours per week, up to 10‑hour shifts.
Responsibilities- Maintain sorter operation by removing full totes from the sorter tote location, replenishing empty totes, scanning totes and locations with a hand‑held scanner, and rearranging units in totes to ensure proper fill rates.
- Manage product deliveries by preparing, reviewing, and verifying receiving documentation and reports; processing, counting, separating, and scanning product; operating computer software to track and identify product; unloading product from trailer manually or with powered equipment; organizing inventory and transferring it to production stations; and maintaining records, logs, and forms such as shipping manifests.
- Stock drugs by using box cutters and knives to open boxes without damaging contents; monitoring product size and adjusting when necessary; labeling, scanning, and sorting drug types to ensure they are in the correct location; transporting drugs and placing them in designated locations; storing excess drugs on overstock shelves or racks; and driving a forklift to transport skid items in the pharmacy.
- Maintain quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory and packages by removing damaged or expired product; identifying and resolving discrepancies in records; informing management of incorrect or inefficient processes; and providing basic maintenance to equipment such as cleaning and changing labels or ribbons.
- Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback.
- Ensure accurate packing and shipping of pharmacy products by packing prescriptions; scanning the leaflet and medication; placing the package on a conveyor to deliver it to the sorter; packing temperature‑sensitive medication according to drug specifications; ensuring necessary supplies are included in each shipment; stocking workstations with required supplies for packing and processing shipments; processing and labeling shipments using approved carrier software and equipment;
and completing and verifying paperwork for pickup and delivery of shipments.
- High school diploma.
- 18+ years old.
- 1 year experience in shipping and receiving.
- 1 year experience in inventory control.
Hourly wage range for this position is $15.20 – $22.80. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and regional pay zone adjustments.
