Overview
Are you passionate about working with children and helping them learn, grow, and thrive? The Goddard School in Springboro is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team. In this important role, you will work collaboratively with fellow teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, values teamwork, and is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and care.
Responsibilities- Provide attentive supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Implement daily activities that promote children’s developmental growth.
- Engage in educational and play activities that encourage literacy, language, math, social-emotional, and physical development.
- Utilize positive guidance and behavior management techniques to support children's growth and development.
- Provide routine care, meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, and transitions.
- Communicate with parents about their child’s day and progress.
- Create and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones as required.
- Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and center policies.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Previous experience in childcare or education. REQUIRED.
- CDA or higher (or working toward your CDA). PREFERRED.
- A positive, patient, and approachable demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and compassion for young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children and families.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.
- Must pass required background checks and other requirements.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Hourly wage: $17-$20.
- Paid Federal holidays.
- 2 weeks paid vacation.
- Winter break school shutdown (12/24-1/1).
