The Teacher Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the instructional environment within the educational institution. This position involves providing assistance to elementary teachers in various tasks to ensure an effective and Christ-centered learning experience for students.

• Assist the Teacher in preparing instructional materials, including photocopying, laminating, and organizing classroom resources.
• Supervise students during class activities, maintaining a positive and Christ-centered learning atmosphere.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help in understanding class materials.
• Support a conducive learning environment by managing the classroom and implementing CHESS policies as directed by the Teacher.
• Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of audio-visual equipment and other teaching aids.
• Perform administrative tasks such as record-keeping, attendance tracking, and grading under the guidance of the teacher.
• Adhere to school policies and procedures, promoting a positive and collaborative work culture.
• Be punctual and reliable, arriving on time for assigned classes and adhering to the school's schedule.
• Provide supervision of students during indoor or outdoor recess and/or lunch activities, ensuring the students’ safety and adherence to school rules.
• Assist in the orderly dismissal of students, as needed, maintaining a secure and organized transition from the classroom to car line.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when facing unforeseen changes in responsibilities or daily schedule.
• Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor when interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.

• 4-year degree from a college, university, or Bible school.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Ability to quickly adapt to varying classroom environments, student ages, and subject matters.
• Flexibility to respond to the changing needs of the school with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Able to supervise students during outdoor recess in various weather conditions, including the heat and cold.
• Ability to work collaboratively in the classroom to address academic and administrative responsibilities while adhering to the school's policies and teaching standards.

• Previous teaching experience in a classroom setting
• An understanding of effective classroom management strategies and techniques that foster an environment of discipleship
