Responsibilities

Assists students in completing academic assignments and self-help tasks in all curricular areas, working toward completion of IEP goals and objectives.

Works with small groups of students to reinforce material introduced by the teacher.

Accompanies student(s) on class field trips or community experiences.

Provides as a resource to the evaluation team conferring about assigned students when requested.

Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.

Assists students in assigned tasks, including physical and personal daily tasks as needed.

Demonstrates positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Establishes, as fully as possible, a supportive and sympathetic relationship with students.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Valid Ohio Educational Aide Certificate (may be obtained after employment).

Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license.

Must pass criminal background check.

Must be able to perform heavy lifting.

Conditions of Employment

Effective Date: 2026/2027 school year – 8/10/2026
Terms of Employment:
One-year probationary contract.
Hours of Work: 7.25 hours per day / 193-day contract (including 9 paid holidays)

Salary and Benefits:
Starting salary $17.97/hour and benefits as approved in the current negotiated agreement.
