This is an onsite role south of Dayton, OH.

This HR Manager role is a senior, hands-on leadership position supporting a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment within the advanced building materials industry. The organization is operationally driven, data-oriented, and open to modernizing HR practices to better support growth, performance, and employee engagement.

Serving as the primary HR leader for manufacturing and operations, this role partners closely with plant and operations leadership to translate business priorities into practical people strategies. This is an ideal opportunity for an HR leader who thrives on visibility, credibility, and impact someone who enjoys being on the floor, close to the work, and deeply embedded in the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a trusted advisor to plant and operations leaders, supporting workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Own all employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and compliance in a non-union manufacturing environment.
  • Lead and coach a team building a high-performing HR function aligned to operational needs.
  • Lead change management initiatives tied to new systems, processes, and organizational shifts; simplify workflows and introduce automation where possible.
  • Track, analyze, and report HR metrics such as turnover, engagement, performance, and compliance to inform leadership decisions and continuous improvement efforts.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience supporting manufacturing and operations environments, ideally within a 24/7 setting.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law, compliance, investigations, and best practices in a non-union environment.
  • Comfortable being visible on the plant floor and building trust with hourly and salaried employees alike.
  • Experience leading and developing HR teams with a focus on execution, accountability, and partnership.
  • Data-driven approach with the ability to translate metrics into actionable insights.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong business-partner orientation
  • 2+ years of people management experience
