Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is responsible for providing human resources (HR) support across local location(s), partnering with leaders and employees to support employee relations, performance management, investigations, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and compliance initiatives. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
The HR Generalist supports workforce needs across all shifts, including evening, night, and weekend coverage, and collaborates with leaders to attract and retain a high-performing workforce.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for the site, including candidate sourcing, applicant screening, interview scheduling and facilitation, management of online position postings, and develop partnerships with local workforce agencies, colleges and universities to support hiring needs.
- Serve as an HR resource for employee relations matters, conduct workplace investigations, and support performance management and progressive discipline processes.
- Partner with leadership to understand staffing needs, develop position descriptions, and support the selection process.
- Support the full pre-employment and onboarding process by coordinating background checks, Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) physical assessments, onboarding, new hire documentation, and conducting new hire orientations to ensure a positive and compliant onboarding experience.
- Educate employees and leaders on HR policies, procedures, benefits, time and attendance, and other employment-related matters.
- Attract applicants through various means including Linked In, networking, job boards, career fairs, location state employment agency, and other sources to generate candidate interest.
- Develop and maintain candidate pipelines and support workforce planning to meet hiring demands.
- Build strong relationships across all shifts to promote positive culture, employee engagement, retention, and consistent application of policies and practices.
- Maintain employment records, employee communications, time and attendance administration, and HR documentation while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage offboarding activities including exit interviews, employee transitions, and retention feedback analysis.
- Ability to work off-shift hours and travel when needed, including providing HR support for multiple local manufacturing and/or business locations and supporting evening, night, and weekend operations.
- Maintain HRIS data, prepare reports, metrics, and documentation to support business and HR decision-making.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and site events.
- Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR procedures.

- Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Predictable and reliable attendance.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of full-cycle recruitment experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting a manufacturing, technical, or industrial environment.
