Our client is seeking a dedicated leader to oversee their comprehensive sanitation program within a dynamic food manufacturing environment. This role is perfect for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast‑paced setting and is passionate about maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities- Lead and Innovate: Spearhead the sanitation program, ensuring all policies, SSOPs, and procedures are up to date and effectively implemented.
- Compliance and Audit Readiness: Ensure ongoing compliance with FDA/USDA regulations, FSMA, GMPs, HACCP/PC, and more, while preparing for and leading audits.
- Team Development: Manage and mentor the sanitation team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize sanitation schedules and minimize downtime.
- Data‑Driven Improvements: Analyze sanitation data to identify trends and implement effective improvement strategies.
- Documentation Excellence: Maintain accurate records and documentation to support continuous improvement efforts.
- 5 years of sanitation experience in food manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of FSMA, GMPs, HACCP/PC, and environmental monitoring.
- Experience with audit readiness and CAPA management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in diverse environments and meet physical demands.
- Preferred: SQF Practitioner, PCQI, HACCP certification, bilingual in English/Spanish, and experience in bakery or high‑allergen environments.
Full‑time, second shift (2 PM‑2 AM) with weekend availability as needed. Work involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs in varying temperature conditions.
