We are actively seeking a Yard Person CDL A to join our 2nd Shift at our Springboro, Ohio Plant.
Yard Jockey CDL A are responsible for assisting in the proper and safe handling of products from the production areas to yard storage, and ensuring a smooth and safe flow of products from storage onto trailers for shipments to job sites. You will assist in stripping products, yarding, and loading onto trailers, as well as storing products out in the yard.
CDL is required as 10% of your day involves driving in the yard.
Ideal candidates will work Monday – Friday starting at 10:00 am/11:00 am – finish. Overtime / time and a half starts after 8 hours worked each day.
Qualifications- CDL A Required
- One year experience in the pre‑cast / pre‑stressed concrete industry preferred
- Ability to work outdoors
- Valid driver’s license required
- Certified equipment operator a plus; travel lift and/or tow motor a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Assist in hooking up products for loading and unloading
- Strip yard products from forms
- Store products out in the yard
- Operate company equipment to move material, load & unload trucks, & other duties as assigned
- Use hand signals to escort equipment operators for setting, lifting or maneuvering production pieces during loading/unloading
- Operate electronic handheld scanners for verification of production pieces during storage process
- Gather shims, steel blocks, homosote, rack pins, and wood blocking used for the day’s production at start of shift
- Approximately 10% of the job involves driving; the remaining portion is yard‑person role
