Springboro Veterinary Clinic is Hiring a Veterinary Technician!

  • Role: Experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM with a two-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM; every other Saturday from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Experience: Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience required

We’re a five-doctor, AAHA-accredited practice committed to providing exceptional patient care for a wide variety of animals, from Malamutes and Maine Coons to gerbils and Flemish Giants. Our services include orthopedics, house calls, behavioral consultations, and nutritional support, giving our team plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and broaden their skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist veterinarians with patient exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Provide compassionate nursing care to a variety of small animal and exotic patients
  • Safely handle and restrain patients
  • Support surgical and orthopedic procedures
  • Assist with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
  • Collect and process laboratory samples
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Assist with radiographs and diagnostic procedures
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records
  • Educate clients and clearly communicate veterinary recommendations
  • Support behavioral and nutritional consultations as needed
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes in condition
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to keep the hospital running smoothly
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
  • Strong patient care and animal-handling skills
  • Experience assisting with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
  • Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
  • Comfort with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures
  • Strong client communication and education skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
