Production Concrete Workers are part of our Production team and handle the setup, stripping and pouring of concrete to create panels and slabs that are then shipped out for the purpose of building parking garages, sports complexes and office/retail buildings. Positions start at $20.00/hr and can increase based on previous relevant work experience. Start time is 11:00 AM, work until the work is done. Shift differential of $3.00 per hour for any hours worked between 5 PM and 5 AM. No traveling involved; everything is done at our property in Springboro, Ohio. Overtime (time and a half) is paid after 8 hours worked each day.
DailyResponsibilities
- Reviews prints with attention to detail
- Pouring concrete
- Sets up forms using a tape measure
- Places steel in forms
- Uses bolt cutters to cut the mesh
- Utilizes concrete saws to cut strand
- Handles oil sprayers to spray oil into forms
- Prior construction, roofing, hardscaping or similar background is required
- Comfortable operating measuring tape to 1/16th of an inch
- Good with taking instructions, taking feedback, and working as part of a team
- A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED)
- Basic math and measurement skills needed as well as knowledge of various hand, power and measurement tools
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment are critical
- Prior concrete and/or construction experience is helpful, but not required
- Familiarity with reading blueprints is a plus
