Fractional CFO, Controllership, and Tax.

Job Summary: As a Senior Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for performing tax compliance, tax return preparation, handling client engagements, and managing various tax projects with minimal supervision. This role involves preparing complex client correspondence, engaging in tax preparation and planning, and ensuring Federal, State, and Local tax compliance across diverse industries.
Responsibilities- Prepare complex client correspondence.
- Perform tax planning and compliance.
- Complete tax returns and special service engagements.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the client’s business.
- Efficiently control project timelines and budgets.
- Manage hours associated with projects.
- Provide resolutions and solutions for problems and issues.
- Maintain a minimum of 40 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) annually.
- Consult with clients on tax.
- Advocate for client goals and objectives, pursuing tax solutions.
- Prepare complex returns with minimal supervision.
- Independently complete complex tasks through to completion.
- Promote the Firm and clients’ proprietary interests.
- Foster effective communication and teamwork.
- Stay updated on tax law.
- Adhere to the Firm’s quality control standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
- Minimum of four tax seasons’ experience.
- Fully licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Experience in public accounting.
- Ability to work extended hours during busy seasons.
- Strong technical, research, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Previous experience using paperless tax software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and other software applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full‑time
Pay Details: 85,000.00 to per year
