Controller II

Management Level Position

This position will work under the direction of the Senior Controller. Position will be responsible for the preparation of annual, monthly and weekly plant production financial statements, budgets, and reports. This includes gathering and processing information to generate accurate performance reports, providing costing and reporting of weekly production, and preparing weekly cost and margin projections. Other duties include ensuring adherence to generally accepted accounting principles, and adherence to Tyson accounting policies, which may involve in-house auditing of books and inventories.

Other duties include developing annual operation budgets, and completing other special projects as needed.

Education:

Bachelors degree in accounting or related field required.

Experience:

6+ years of accounting management experience.

Computer

Skills:

Requires standard computer skills including Microsoft Office, generating spreadsheets and word processing skills, and knowledge of general ledger applications including purchasing, receiving, accounts payable, materials management and an understanding of Income statement and Balance sheet line items. Experience with SAP preferred.

Communication

Skills:

Must be able to communicate both written and verbally with all levels of management and management support.

Special

Skills:

Must work well in a group environment; well organized and detail oriented. Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred.
