Accounting Administrator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Administrator in Fresh Meats Finance and Accounting. In this role, you will support cattle and hog procurement through pricing support, payment processing, reconciliations, and month-end reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines, and the ability to communicate effectively across plant and corporate accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Support daily pricing and cost estimate reporting for procurement operations.
• Process payments and help resolve related issues.
• Reconcile purchase, bank, and vendor activity on a recurring basis.
• Prepare month-end reports and support the month-end close process.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  
  3+ years office/accounting experience required.
• Computer
  
  Skills:
  
  Requires proficiency with Microsoft Excel and a Tyson Business Computer System; SAP experience preferred.
• Communication
  
  Skills:
  
  Requires written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of management. Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks such as setting priorities, evaluating results, and coordinating with others. Assignments are defined and the approach to be taken is usually determined in coordination with others.
