Job DescriptionAs a Lot Attendant / Porter, you'll play an important role in creating a great first impression for our customers by ensuring our vehicle inventory is clean, organized, and ready for display. You'll work closely with our sales and service departments to keep daily operations running smoothly.
Essential Responsibilities- Organize and maintain the dealership lot to ensure vehicles are clean, properly displayed, and easy for customers to view.
- Move vehicles safely throughout the dealership as directed by management.
- Wash, clean, and detail the interior and exterior of new and pre‑owned vehicles, including windows, wheels, tires, trunk, and interior compartments.
- Fuel vehicles and check that they are ready for customer demonstrations and delivery.
- Start and inspect vehicles daily, reporting any maintenance issues or concerns.
- Transport vehicles between dealership locations or deliver and pick up vehicles for customers as needed.
- Retrieve parts and supplies from the Parts Department to support dealership operations.
- Verify that all required pricing information, buyers' guides, stock numbers, and window stickers are properly displayed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional appearance of the dealership lot and vehicle inventory.
- Assist with additional dealership tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, organized environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to assist multiple departments.
- Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Previous dealership, automotive, detailing, or lot attendant experience is a plus, but not required—we're happy to train the right person.
