Job SummaryThomas Fence is seeking an organized and customer-focused Residential Fence Project Manager to oversee and manage residential fencing projects from initial consultation to final installation. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. This role involves coordinating with clients, teams, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
SalaryFrom $18–$25 per hour depending on experience.

- Outdoor work in various conditions
- Proven experience in project management or a related role in construction or fencing.
- Strong knowledge of fencing materials, installation processes, and industry standards.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and site plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with project management software or tools.
- Experience in residential construction or landscaping projects.
- Ability to operate light equipment (e.g., skid steers) is a plus.
1. Project Planning & Coordination
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, design preferences, and timelines.
- Conduct site assessments.
- Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate with installation crews, ensuring they are well‑prepared with tools, materials, and instructions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate project updates, address questions, and resolve concerns promptly.
- Provide expert advice on fencing materials, styles, and maintenance.
- Prepare accurate project estimates and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Manage procurement of materials, coordinating with vendors to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures as necessary.
- Oversee the progress of installations, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Address on‑site challenges or changes in project scope efficiently.
- Perform final inspections to ensure the work meets company and client expectations.
- Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, permits, and regulations.
- Promote and enforce adherence to company safety policies on all job sites.
- Address and document any safety incidents or violations.
- Ability to visit and inspect outdoor job sites in various weather conditions.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when necessary.
