Position: CAREER NAVIGATOR

Career Navigator

This position supports both Goodwill employees and external clients in areas related to gaining and retaining employment, career advancement, and financial stability. Key responsibilities include assisting in the design and execution of educational and support programs, promoting long-term workforce aligned with each individual's career goals, and ensuring every interaction reflects Goodwill's ACE culture, mission, and values.

Essential duties and responsibilities include facilitating or directly providing career coaching assistance services to employees and clients, meeting and communicating regularly with all assigned employees and clients, building relationships with store managers of the employees that are assigned to caseload, creating individualized service plans to address short- and long-term career and educational goals, teaching work readiness skills in one-on-one and group settings, conducting one-on-one follow-up in person, by phone or by email with employees and clients to continually monitor their efforts, measure progress on their action plan, and providing accountability, and performing any other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education:

High School

Experience:

3 years related experience and/or training.

Skills:

Communication Skills, Mathematical Skills, Critical Thinking Skills, Contact Management, Presentation/PowerPoint, Word Processing/Typing, Software Databases, Spreadsheet, Planning, organizing, and project management skills, Case Management Tools, Ability to multi-task, shift priorities, and handle high-pressure time sensitive situations, Strong interpersonal skills, Able to work independently.

Additional Information:
Experience in the field of employment, vocational rehabilitation, or transitional employment assistance is preferred. Experience in program development and classroom instruction. Willingness to learn and respect the needs of persons with mental illness, disabilities, past incarceration, and/or other barriers to employment. Adhere to client privacy rights and HIPPA requirements. Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employers, clients, supervisors, and the general public.

Ability to provide vocational counseling, build self-esteem, access resources, and network. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
