Educational Aide - Recess/Lunch - 2.5 hours/daily
Independence Local Schools is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-centered Educational Aide to provide supervision and support for students during lunch and recess. The successful candidate will help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment while encouraging appropriate student behavior and positive interactions.
Qualifications- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required.
- Valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit (or ability to obtain through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce).
- Successful completion of all required background checks.
- Experience supervising elementary-aged students (Kindergarten through Grade
4). - Ability to foster a positive, collaborative, and respectful environment.
- Clerical and basic computer skills are a plus.
- Ability to effectively supervise students in a school setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, compassion, and understanding when working with children.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
- Demonstrates professionalism, dependability, and an exemplary work ethic.
- 188 school days, as defined by the district calendar
- Additional time may be required for meetings, professional development, or school events.
- Hourly rate of $16.37-$22.65, based on qualifications and applicable experience.
