Job Title
Repair Design Engineer (RDE) – Cases & Composites Group within the Aftermarket Services Engineering (ASE) commercial jet engine repair group.
LocationUSA – Arkansas – Springdale – Building 1, 275 E Robinson Ave.
Role TypeOnsite – requires working primarily at the on‑site location. 10% travel required.
Responsibilities- Establish repair design requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet OEM quality standards.
- Research the impact of damage on gas turbine engine components and develop engineering‑based solutions to restore airworthiness.
- Create technical documents that provide the manufacturing organization with the engineering requirements for repairs.
- Interface with commercial engine program managers to secure priorities and understand how repairs affect the engine fleet.
- Support the customer in resolving field supportability issues.
- Ensure repair tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Support career development of lower‑level design engineers.
- Review work of lower‑level design engineers.
- Provide feedback for Engineering Standard Work and productivity initiatives.
- Lead repair development projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM).
- Minimum 8+ years of mechanical design or manufacturing engineering experience, or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
- Experience using Unigraphics/NX or a similar CAD application.
- U.S. citizenship required due to security requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering.
- Exposure to cost and schedule management or team leadership.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, plating, plasma spray, welding, or brazing.
Salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.
