Performs a variety of laboratory tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Associate Degree or equivalent experience.

Bachelor's Degree.

Entry Level – Experience not required.

Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) – ASCP. Must obtain within one year.

None specified.

• Assists with research, development, and/or validation of new policies, procedures and/or instruments.
• Manages stock levels, rotation, and monitors expiration.
• Performs laboratory procedures and calculates, transcribes and records test results.
• Prepares and manages specimens for analysis, refers results to Pathology, correlates results and communicates and documents findings.
• Performs Manual Result Review and proficiency testing.
• Performs maintenance procedures on laboratory instruments and/or equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
