Meet the Individual You Will Support

Support a friendly and social individual who enjoys staying active, connecting with others, and participating in meaningful community experiences. The individual values creativity, independence, and building relationships.

The DSP will provide support with:

• Participating in creative activities such as art, music, concerts, and community events
• Encouraging social connections with family, friends, and others
• Assisting with mobility, personal care, and daily activities as needed
• Supporting communication through preferred methods, including technology, signing, and gestures
• Promoting independence, healthy choices, and community involvement

The ideal DSP will be patient, engaging, and supportive while helping the individual feel confident, connected, and included in the activities they enjoy.

• Age:
  Must be 18 years or older.
• Education:
  
  High school diploma, GED, or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Clearances:
  Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings.
• Mobility: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (essential for community outings).
• Flexibility:
  Willingness to work weekends or fill-in shifts as needed.

• Work is performed in the individual s home, community settings, and agency sites.
• Position requires standing, walking, driving, and assisting with personal care.
• May involve physical tasks, lifting, or utilizing mobility-facilitating equipment.
• May involve navigating challenging behaviors; ASN provides comprehensive, ongoing training and team support to ensure your success and safety.
