You will support an active individual who enjoys being involved in the community and participating in meaningful activities. They enjoy:

• Spending time in recreational and social settings

• Having opportunities to make choices and participate in activities they enjoy

The ideal DSP will provide patient, respectful support by:

• Encouraging independence and participation in daily routines
• Supporting a consistent schedule and preparing the individual for changes
• Using positive, proactive strategies to promote safety and emotional regulation
• Encouraging community involvement and meaningful experiences
• Providing support with dignity, respect, and a person-centered approach

• Age:
  Must be 18 years or older.
• Education:
  
  High school diploma, GED, or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Clearances:
  Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings.
• Mobility: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (essential for community outings).
• Flexibility:
  Willingness to work weekends or fill-in shifts as needed.

• Work is performed in the individual's home, community settings, and agency sites.
• Position requires standing, walking, driving, and assisting with personal care.
• May involve physical tasks, lifting, or utilizing mobility-facilitating equipment.
• May involve navigating challenging behaviors; ASN provides comprehensive, ongoing training and team support to ensure your success and safety.
