Position: Lead Infrastructure Engineer (Onsite)

Position Summary

The Lead Infrastructure Engineer is a senior-level professional responsible for leading and overseeing the design, implementation, and support of the organization’s infrastructure systems, with emphasis on the platforms and technologies that deliver a reliable, secure, and high-performing end-user computing experience. The role provides expert guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to the team, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the company’s infrastructure across server, endpoint, and modern workplace environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex infrastructure solutions, including network architecture, server configurations, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative, service-oriented environment.
  • Conduct collaborative sessions to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient infrastructure solutions.
  • Lead sessions to review performance analysis, capacity planning, and optimization of infrastructure and endpoint services to ensure high availability, performance, and user productivity.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect infrastructure systems from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure services (Microsoft Azure or AWS) to ensure cost‑effectiveness, scalability, and performance.
  • Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes using industry-standard tools and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
  • Collaborate with Dev Ops and operations teams to integrate automation practices and ensure seamless deployment and continuous integration.
  • Partner with service management and operations teams on incident, request, asset, and change workflows to support consistent service delivery and SLA adherence.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices—including automation and AI‑enabled productivity tools—and recommend improvements.
  • Perform other assigned job‑related duties that align with the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure management, network administration, or system engineering.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages.
  • Extensive experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
  • Thorough knowledge of security protocols and best practices.
  • Relevant IT certifications preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or Autopilot.
  • Experience supporting Windows client operating systems, Windows 365, and the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) and endpoint automation capabilities.
  • Experience with ITSM platforms such as Service Now.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, device and identity management.
  • Experience with enterprise hardware platforms and lifecycle management tools (e.g., Dell).
  • Experience managing cloud services within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Strong mentoring, strategic thinking, problem‑solving, alignment with business goals, cross‑functional collaboration, conflict resolution, and skill development abilities.
