This position will support the Supply Chain team's efforts to combine and streamline business processes across the enterprise. Responsibilities include supporting all front-end planning required to identify, document, and support effective project execution; analyzing existing enterprise processes and systems and identifying opportunities to improve the functional area's performance in order to meet business objectives; implementing end-to-end processes that result in enterprise best practices;
providing ongoing process support to drive continuous improvement; and creating process flow diagrams and key performance indicators (KPIs) that can be used to measure process success.
Essential Job Functions:
- Translate the consensus demand plan into an inventory deployment plan, collaborating with Supply Planning, Production Transportation, and Warehouses to ensure that inventory is managed to constraints and targets that are aligned with the business strategy.
- Minimizes transportation cost by optimizing trailer capacity and effective truck building. Work closely with the Production Schedulers on issues when product cannot be manufactured in time to fill replenishment orders.
- Coordinate with transportation the movement of orders going from the facilities to the distribution centers.
- Manage inventory in support of major events, i.e., item launch promotions, new distribution etc.
- Problem solves with cross-functional partners to resolve inventory issues and proactively address constraints.
- Review and analyze weekly performance inventory levels; recommend changes to forecasts.
- Analyze past performance to identify opportunities and create corrective action for improving inventory management performance.
- Report on a weekly basis the performance of the items assigned based on KPIs given.
- Interacts with Marketing Brand Managers, Directors, Plant Managers, Operations Directors, and VPs for their items.
- Execute the plans for capacity reduction of aged inventory and material and labor optimization.
- Prepare reports, analyses, and other statistics pertaining to production efficiencies, manufacturing processes, material usage, rework inventory shipping, and product transfer.
- Ability to travel to other Production Facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Standard computer skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- None.
- 6 to 11 domestic trips per year.
