The General Labor Production role is responsible for safely and efficiently performing various duties within the production plant floor to ensure daily operational needs are met. Team members may rotate between departments and workstations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Work in different areas of the poultry processing plant, including first processing, debone, and second processing
• Work in rotation on a line or between departments
• Maintain a pace to ensure production flow
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Maintain satisfactory attendance and job performance according to company policies
• Perform all other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• No prior experience required; poultry or meat processing experience preferred
• Follow verbal and written instructions

PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

• Cold, damp environment with temperatures from 40 to 90 degrees
• Wear and utilize required PPE
• Stand/walk 100% of the workday
• Exposure to varying noise levels
• Bend, stoop, lift weights as needed
• Climb stairs, stoop, kneel, bend
• Exposure to strong raw, rendering, spice, and chemical odors
• Bending, twisting, stacking, pushing, standing for long periods
• Manual dexterity required
• Repetitive motions
• Ability to safely use sharp tools like knives and scissors
• Ability to tolerate odors
