Pay: $18.05/hour. Work most weekends.
Responsibilities- Assist the Supervisor with coordination of daily departmental responsibilities and communicate instructions to team members in a timely manner.
- Monitor all equipment to ensure proper operation, notify the Supervisor of needed maintenance, and maintain a safe work environment in accordance with Tyson policies and procedures.
- Assist in the set‑up of the production line and conduct daily inspections of all operating equipment to confirm working conditions.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the production area and ensure all necessary materials remain on the production floor throughout the day.
- Track daily attendance rosters and assist with training new hires or re‑training team members as needed.
- Perform wash‑down duties to keep all areas covered and sanitized.
- Serve as a liaison between the Supervisor and team members, ensuring that all directions are understood and executed and communicating any quality issues to the Supervisor.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Supervisor (excluding disciplinary actions).
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including continuous use of hands, arms, fingers, legs, and back muscles, long periods of standing and walking, to monitor equipment during production.
- Minimum 3 months of food‑industry production experience within the last 2 years (the experience may be combined from multiple employers).
- Former Tyson Foods team members must observe a 180‑day (6‑month) waiting period.
- Maximum of two previous Tyson employments are considered for hire.
- Current employees of this facility or complex are eligible; transferring from another Tyson facility requires expression of interest to the local HR partner.
- Ability to work the 1ST SHIFT and most weekends.
- Willingness and ability to perform the job’s physical requirements with or without a reasonable accommodation.
