And what will you do?
Summary:
Provides “Right. On Time. Every Time.” products and customer service, both to external and internal customers, within company standards.
Core Functions:
- Follows all plant safety procedures and uses all applicable personal protective equipment (PPE). Holds other team members accountable for following all safety procedures, environmental control, process control and quality control practices.
- Follows all setup procedures and work instructions as documented in the Operations System.
- Reports all machinery issues to Maintenance promptly.
- Cleans and resets the work area at the end of each shift, including but not limited to sweeping the floor, placing items in the proper storage area, stacking pallets, restocking packaging, and dumping trash.
- Accurately updates all records and visual tracking, whether written or electronic.
- Cross-trains as directed and is willing to work at any production position in the plant, on a as needed basis.
- Completes work as directed by plant management.
- Identify and inspect the raw material needed for the fabrication. Tags and segregates raw material and fabricated parts that do not meet the required standards.
- Uses/Operates complex computerized equipment, hand tools and power tools common to the steel fabrication industry, etc.
- Verify, create and/or modify cam data files, to ensure these match the attributes described in fabrication shop drawings and/or cut list.
- Troubleshoot equipment, execute proper machine calibrations and set ups including selection of tooling and consumable required for the task on hand.
- Interprets engineering shop fabrication drawings, fabrication standards, sketches and other specifications to produce parts or components.
- Inspect subassemblies and accessories visually and dimensionally to verify these meet the required specifications.
- Uses tape measures, squares, calipers, micrometers, protractors, rulers, and other measuring tools to set up equipment and complete required quality inspections.
- Marks or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks.
- Lift or move materials and finished products, manually or assisted with hoists, cranes, forklifts, pallets jacks, etc.
Performs other duties and activities related to the department as necessary to support overall operations and responsibilities, even if not specifically listed above.
