What You Will Do
  • The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Welder for 2nd shift hours are Monday-Friday, 3:00PM - 11:30PM.
  • You will receive a shift differential when working on 2nd shift of 8%.
  • Employees are subject to train on 1st shift.
  • 1st shift hours are Monday-Friday, 6:30AM-3:00PM.
  • Overtime opportunity may be available, after a period of training.
  • Pratt & Whitney PSD is an FAA regulated facility, and compliance with such rules is a condition of employment.
  • PSD is a clean, well-lit, state-of-the-art machining center in a climate-controlled facility.
  • Interpret weld blueprints, specifications, and work instructions accurately.
  • Prepare and fixture components, ensuring proper alignment, cleanliness, and readiness for welding.
  • Perform manual bench and electron beam welding in accordance with defined process parameters and quality standards.
  • Monitor equipment and weld conditions, complete inspections, and address or elevate weld defects appropriately.
  • Maintain equipment, follow all documentation and traceability requirements, and adhere to weld-specific safety protocols.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Previous experience in welding, precision manufacturing, or related operations preferred.
  • Technical proficiency in weld processes and equipment operation.
  • Problem-solving and ability to recognize abnormal weld conditions.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
