** Position Summary
** The role of the Nurse Manager reports to the Director of Clinical Services. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day coordination of nursing staff and aides. This position will participate in direct patient care.
** Essential Position Responsibilities
*** Oversee day-to-day workflow in the clinic as it relates to patient care
* Provide ongoing training to nursing staff
* Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system
* Prepare patients for various procedures and/or examinations and assist physicians, as needed
* Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax or phone as authorized and appropriate
* Provide direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
* Assist patient by providing direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
* Serve as patient liaison and advocate, as needed
* Ensure patients have received all necessary educational materials
* Schedule surgeries and various diagnostic tests and provide scheduled dates to the patient
** Qualification**
* ** Education**:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
* ** Licensure and Certifications**:
Valid registered nurse license and CPR, required.
* ** Experience**:
Previous experience in a dialysis setting, required.
** Work Environment:
** This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
