Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Springdale, Arkansas. This role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

A Stepdown Registered Nurse provides care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical‑surgical or general inpatient units. These patients require frequent monitoring and specialized nursing interventions. The RN assesses and manages complex patient needs, administers medications and treatments, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient‑centered care.

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments, with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac‑related procedures and examinations
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
• Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient cardiac status and intervention response
• Responds to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans focused on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients
• Maintains confidentiality of patients and client
• Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
• Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills

• Remain in stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend

• Work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
• Present a positive attitude and professionalism

• Grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures or department equipment

• Handle frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
• Work under close supervision occasionally and also without assistance from other personnel
• Manage irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration on detail
