Summary
A Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, and administering care within the scope of training, collaborating with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery, achieving desired outcomes, and aligning with hospital objectives, policies, and the Nurse Practice Act of Arkansas. The RN provides preoperative nursing care for patients admitted for surgery: admission, assessment, plan of care, education, and preparation before anesthesia.
DetailsDepartment: Operating Room
Shift: Day (06:00 AM – 02:30 PM)
Work Schedule: 0.01 hours bi‑weekly (authorization detail)
Qualifications- Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in Arkansas; or newly graduated RN from an accredited nursing program.
- BSN preferred.
- Basic knowledge and skills to meet standard of care; ability to practice as a full partner of an interdisciplinary team.
- Healthcare CPR required; additional ACLS, PALS, and/or NALS may be required. Training provided.
- Specialty unit education will be provided.
