Position: Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $1,612 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel assignment in Springdale, Arkansas.

Position Details: 13‑week assignment starting 07/27/2026, 12‑hour night shifts, 36 hours per week.

Job Summary

The Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse delivers comprehensive, high‑quality, patient‑centered care in medical‑surgical and telemetry units, including assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications
  • One year recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA/ARC) certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • NIHSS certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA/ARC) certification
  • Other relevant certifications and licenses
Essential Work Functions
  • Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and document changes
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians, and monitor responses
  • Maintain safe and comfortable environment for patients
  • Document patient information, vitals, medications, treatments, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans
  • Prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical needs
  • Follow infection control practices, hand hygiene, and PPE use
  • Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences
  • Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with families and resources
  • Perform other duties within scope of practice
  • Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards
Essential Skills & Abilities
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient reader and writer in English, ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Proficient in PC skills
  • Physical: ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, bend
  • Interpersonal: work effectively with professional and ancillary personnel, maintain positivity and professionalism
  • Technical/Motor: fine manipulation, assist with procedures, use department equipment
  • Mental: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision or independently, manage irregular schedules, maintain concentration to detail
  • Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication
